Calculation of service configuration update

Modified on Sun, 26 May at 9:33 PM

To calculate the upgrade cost, please follow these steps:

  1. Find out the current cost of your configuration:

    1. Go to our main site.

    2. Use the configurator to select your current VPS configuration.

    3. Remember or write down the price of the current configuration.

  2. Select new configuration:

    1. In the configurator, change the settings to the desired new configuration.

    2. Remember or write down the price of the new configuration.

  3. Calculate the cost of the update:

    1. Subtract the cost of the current configuration from the cost of the new configuration.

    2. Divide the difference by the number of days for which you purchased the service.

    3. Multiply the resulting value by the number of days remaining until the next renewal.

The formula looks like this:

(New price - Old price) / Number of days of purchased service * Number of days remaining until renewal

Calculation example:

  • Current cost: $50 per month.
  • New cost: $70 per month.
  • Number of days in a month: 30.
  • Number of days remaining until renewal: 10.

Calculation:

($70 - $50) / 30 * 10 = $20 / 30 * 10 = $6.67

In this example, the renewal cost for the remaining period would be $6.67.

  1. Top up your internal balance:

  • Top up your internal balance with the calculated amount to update the configuration.

After completing these steps, please write to us again and provide the desired configuration with already replenished internal balance for update.
